November News

Hello friends!  We hope the crisper weather and colorful fall leaves find you happy, well, and enjoying blessings from the Lord.  We have enjoyed seeing many of you in concerts over the past few months.  We are encouraged by your support, letters, calls, and prayers.

We were honored and humbled to receive the award of Favorite New Mixed Group by Singing News fans last month at Dollywood!  It truly is a blessing to know that after seven years on the road, we have made so many wonderful friends across the country!

It’s a busy time of year as we move into the Thanksgiving season.  It’s a favorite time of year for us.  The fall is beautiful in North Carolina, and we have been fortunate to have some time off the road to enjoy it.  We were able to continue the family tradition of spending a day at the Raleigh Farmers’ Market with Mom, Dad, Mimi, and Papa last month.  We filled the back of Dad’s truck with pumpkins, corn stalks, and bright yellow chrysanthemums – enough to decorate all of yards!

Many have asked where everyone lives now that Leslie has moved back to North Carolina, and Suzanne is married.  Suzanne and her Aaron live in Morganton, NC – about 3 hours from Lillington.  Leslie and her Aaron live next door to Jonathan.  Chris and Amanda also live in Lillington.

If you have attended a concert recently, or have been on Facebook, you know we have experienced a huge blessing in our family.  Leslie and Aaron are expecting a baby!  This was a huge answer to prayer for them.  Leslie had been told by doctors that she would not be able to have a child of her own.  That just goes to show that nothing is impossible with God!

We are also excited about our new CD project.  We spent last week in Nashville working on tracks with the very talented Wayne Haun and Gordon Mote!  We believe the songs that we have selected will encourage our listeners and lift up Jesus.  We appreciate your prayers as we return to the studio soon to record vocals.  We pray the Lord’s Spirit will anoint each song and bring glory to Himself.  Our greatest desire is that many will experience a personal relationship with Jesus through our ministry of music.  We also pray that Christians will be encouraged as they are reminded of God’s great love.  You can expect to see the new project in stores around February!

Speaking of February, we are excited that the Singing At Sea cruise is only three months away!  This is our third year of being a part of this wonderful cruise, and it’s always a highlight for us.  Singing At Sea is the largest Gospel cruise and the only cruise that closes down bars and casinos during the voyage.  There are over 25 Gospel Groups participating this year.  The cruise departs from Jacksonville, FL on February 3rd and makes three stops in the beautiful Bahamas before returning on February 8th.  We have friends coming from all over for this premier Southern Gospel cruise.  Texas, Pennsylvania, Canada, and Northern Ireland are just a few of the places that will be represented.  We were just informed that the ship is already 80% full, but there’s still time to reserve your spot!  If you have any questions or would like to request a brochure on this cruise, please call (910) 658-7153.  We hope to see you on the boat!

It’s amazing that Christmas is just around the corner.  We are presenting our annual “Christmas with The Taylors Dinner Concert” at our home church – Fellowship Baptist in Lillington, NC.  The dates are Friday, December 6th and Saturday, December 7th at 6:00 PM.  Cost of tickets are $22 and includes dinner (prepared by Mom!) and concert.  Call 910-528-6522 for more information or to order tickets.  There are only 20 tickets left, so we hope you will ring in the Christmas season with us!

As you spend time with your friends and family during Thanksgiving and Christmas, our prayer is that you will be blessed and encouraged by God.  He has given us so much through His Son – Jesus.  We are grateful to have salvation through Him, abundant life in Him, and a home in Heaven with Him!

“This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 128:24
