Press Release

Big things are happening for The Taylors in 2016!  A lot has changed in a short amount of time, and we are excited to share with you how God has been blessing our ministry!

A very special congratulations to Suzanne and Aaron Hise on the birth of their first child, Adaline Gayle!  Adaline was born on March 10th and weighed 7 lbs, 5oz and was 21 1/2 inches long.  She is beautiful and healthy, and our family has already fallen head over heels for this precious gift from God.  Suzanne and Aaron wish to thank everyone for their prayers and kind words.  They will be moving into their new home in Lillington in the coming days with Adaline!

That’s not all!  Late last night, Chris and Amanda Taylor welcomed their first child, little Emma Rose, to the world!  Momma and baby are fine, and they are resting this morning.  We will update the website and our Facebook page as soon as pictures become available of this beautiful, precious baby girl!  Chris wishes to express his gratitude to all who prayed for his new family during the last few days!

If you didn’t already know, Leslie and Aaron Perkins are expecting their second child in May!  You guessed it - they’re having a little girl!  Their little boy, Isaiah, is a gift from God and has practically grown up on The Taylor bus.  He’s been stealing the hearts of our audiences for the last 18 months, and we can’t wait to welcome his little sister to our family this spring!  Her name is to be Giuliana Elizabeth Ann!

We can’t tell you how happy we are to see our family growing this year!  God has truly blessed us, and we are looking forward to taking off several weeks this spring to be with our loved ones to celebrate what God has done!

With all of this wonderful news about babies, we also have some bittersweet news to share.  Beginning April 16th, The Taylors will transition from a quartet to a trio as Leslie and Aaron answer the call to minister at a church in Myrtle Beach, SC.  Aaron and Leslie have accepted the position of Pastor of Music and Students at Socastee Baptist Church.  Although we are sad to see them leave us, we are excited for Leslie and Aaron as they follow the Lord’s direction.  Leslie sang with us for nine years and was a blessing not only to our friends and fans, but also to our ministry team as we traveled every week!  Aaron ran sound for The Taylors for two years and also filled in many times when Chris was not able to be with us, and he will be greatly missed too!  Ever since Leslie can remember, she has wanted to be a mom to a little boy and a little girl.  When doctors told her that she would never be able to have children, she and Aaron trusted the Lord and prayed for a miracle!  Three years later, God is blessing them with the family that they prayed for.  We are so proud of what God is doing in their lives and in their ministry.   Would you join us in praying for The Perkins family as they transition into this new chapter of their lives?

To celebrate the time that Leslie spent with The Taylors, we have scheduled a farewell concert at the place where it all began - Fellowship Baptist in Lillington, NC.  The concert will be held on April 15th at 7:00 PM.  We hope you’ll be able to join us in wishing Leslie and Aaron the best in their new ministry!  Due to the limited amount of seating in the church, reservations are required in advance.  The concert will be a love-offering event, and you can reserve your seat by calling Lisa Taylor at (910) 658-8757.

Transitioning to a trio will no doubt be different for The Taylors, but we have been preparing for this change for the last 8 months!  We are excited to announce the release  of our first trio project, “Hope and Healing,” next month!  When Leslie shared with us that she and Aaron felt the Lord calling them to come off the road, we began to pray that God would direct us in the decisions that would need to be made moving forward.  We approached our producer, Wayne Haun, and Ernie Haase (StowTown Records) at The National Quartet Convention in September and shared with them our desire to move forward as a trio.  Wayne and Ernie quickly got on board, and we began our search for new material.  Wayne flew in for a few days in November, and we started sifting through new music in search of songs that would express what God was doing in our lives.  We narrowed the search down to 13 songs and quickly realized that God already had his hand on this new project.  Our grandfather passed away from a long battle with dementia a few days later.  Little did we know that the songs that we had selected the days before would help us get through the loss of our dear Papa!  2015 was a tough year in general for our family, so we don’t think it’s a coincidence that God gave us songs of Hope and Healing that would minister to us during this tough time.  Our parents joined us for 21 days of prayer and fasting to start the new year as we prepared to go into the studio at the end of January.  We prayed and cried over every song recorded, and we can tell you that God anointed this music from beginning to end!  God overwhelmed us with a sense of peace in the realization that He has everything under control!

We can’t wait for you to hear the new music!  Ernie is excited too!  He sent us the following texts after he heard the new songs:

“I’m hearing your new mixes, and I am blown away!  It’s like a brand new sound, a brand-new group, a brand-new ANOINTING!  I’m so proud of you all!!”

Ernie also wrote the following review for new project:

“I just finished listening to my advance copy of The Taylors’ newest StowTown project, ‘Hope and Healing,’ and my soul is over-flowing with Joy.  The New sound of The Taylors (going from quartet to trio) is family harmony at its best!  It’s heavenly harmony in my book.  What sets this project above all projects is the content.  The title says it all...this project will bring ‘Hope and Healing’ - reaffirming the faith of all who listen.  Way to go Taylors!”

After previewing the new project to select a new radio single, our promoter, Susan Whisnant, had the following to say:

“I sat and listened to every song this morning!!!!  I haven’t had a project to ‘move me’ like this in a very long time!!!!  Every song is lyrically and vocally superb!!  Honestly...and I don’t say this often....this project will be in my car, and I will listen to it for years to come!!!  WELL DONE!!!!  I’ll get back to you on the single!!  I’m still crying!!!!”

“Hope and Healing” will be released on April 8th everywhere (including iTunes) - so mark your calendars!  Be sure to check our website and Facebook for updates in the following days - you just might hear a few samples of the project before it’s available in stores!

To celebrate the new project, we invite you to join us for a CD release concert on the night following Leslie’s farewell concert.  The concert will also be held at Fellowship Baptist on April 16th at 7:00 PM.  You can also reserve your seat for this concert at the same time time you reserve your seat for Leslie’s farewell concert by calling the number above.  If you plan to come from out of town for the weekend, be sure to let us know so that we can give you information on the best places to stay!

Well, that’s a lot of information to share...we hope that we haven’t overwhelmed you!  One last bit of exciting news:  Our newest single, “He’s My Guide,” has jumped to #13 on the Singing News Top 20 chart!  Please continue to request our music at your local radio station!

Before we go, we want to say thanks once again for all of your prayers and support!  You are an extension of our ministry, and we couldn’t continue doing what we love to do if it weren’t for folks like you!  God bless you!!!

January Newsletter

Hi Friends!

We trust that you had a blessed holiday season! Ours certainly was a busy one because many different things are happening in our lives. Currently, we have paused our touring to spend a month at home with our loved ones. In our absence from the stage, please know that we haven’t forgotten about you and that we want to stay connected with you!

Preparations are now being made for our annual Singing At Sea Cruise!  This February, we are traveling to new destinations—Cozumel and the Grand Cayman Islands!  We are even more excited  than usual about the fun and fellowship to come!   We also want to remind you of another cruise we are going on this August. We are thrilled to be sailing to spectacular Alaska! It’s beauty is unmatched in our great country, and we don’t want you to miss out.  Please join us August 22-29 for the trip of a lifetime!  For more information about Alaska and Singing At Sea, please click here.

This past year was truly a blessing for our ministry. Not only did God allow us to take the Gospel to over 24 US states, but we also went to Canada, Ireland, the United Kingdom, Denmark and Sweden!  To the best of our knowledge, around 624 professions of faith were made in 2014—to God be all the glory!

Looking back over 2014 has made us realize just how blessed we are as a family and as a ministry team. This past year, Jonathan built a new house! He was also very instrumental in helping our parents build their new home. Jonathan and Chris both grew up helping their grandfather on construction sites, and that training was very helpful when Jonathan decided to build his own home.

Leslie and Aaron have been busier than ever! Along with the birth of Isaiah, they purchased the Taylor homestead from our parents—keeping it in the family I guess you would say! God has blessed them with their own home for their precious son who’s birth was accompanied with a few medical complications. Isaiah only had one developed kidney, so doctors kept a very close eye on him to ensure that his second kidney was working properly. It is nothing short of a miracle that his second kidney is 100% functional, and He is growing leaps and bounds everyday!

Suzanne and Aaron have spent an entire month together—which may not seem like a lot of time, but it’s the most time they’ve had together since their wedding in May of 2013!

We also have two expecting sister-in-laws, so you can imagine the excitement around the Taylor households!  That will make 9 nephews and nieces!!!!

We appreciate all of your prayers throughout 2014. As many of you have probably personally experienced, this year has had it’s ups and downs for us too. Our Papa’s health has been declining over the last few years.  You may have seen him attending one of our local concerts. His health and mental capacity have rapidly declined in recent weeks, as is typical with Binswanger’s disease. The doctors say He is nearing stage 8 of 8 of this disease, so we greatly appreciate your prayers for Papa and the whole family.

Chris was hospitalized at the beginning of December after a serious bout with a viral infection. He began feeling ill mid-October and is yet to have fully recovered. Many of you have already prayed for him, and we thank you. We covet your continued prayers for his complete healing so that he will be able to minister again soon.

To be honest, every member of our ministry team was sick more than usual in 2014.  Staying on the road almost every weekend has been a blessing but it has also created a struggle to balance family, ministry, and health.  We believe that The Lord wants us to be good stewards of our bodies, because they are the temple of God.  You may notice a few more empty weekends for The Taylors in 2015; but don't worry, we're not quitting!  We'll be spending that extra time resting, recovering, and being with our families so that we will be refreshed and effective at sharing the Gospel on all of the other weekends!  We feel a calling on our lives to share God's Word through music, and we plan to answer that call for many years to come.

Aside from keeping you up to date on our lives and ministry, we want you to know that we love you.  We have seen more than ever in this past year that life is amazing, precious, challenging and, at times, just plain hard. Please know that The Taylors care about you. Whatever it is you are experiencing, whether through concerns or rejoicing, we want to lift you up in prayer—our website has a link designed just for prayer. Send us a message and we will lift you up to The Lord. As the world grows darker, we know by joining with believers we can help bring light to this hurting world.

Until we meet again,

The Taylors

"May The Lord bless you and keep you; The Lord make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; The Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.”

Taylors Sign With StowTown Records

NASHVILLE, TN (April 15, 2014)
 – On Monday, StowTown Records expanded its already impressive artist roster by signing The Taylors, the Singing News 2013 Favorite New Mixed Group of the Year.

StowTown Records co-founders Ernie Haase and Wayne Haun celebrated their new partnership with The Taylors—Jonathan, Suzanne, Christopher, and Leslie—during a signing event at the offices of Provident/Sony Distribution. A live performance by the brothers and sisters quickly captivated the Provident sales and marketing staff, and created an air of excitement.

Ernie Haase has been anticipating the opportunity to introduce the young artists to an even wider audience. "The Taylors are a talented vocal group who have that ‘sibling thing’ that is hard to describe or deny. To see these brothers and sisters—all in their early 20’s—perform together is something to behold. I think everyone will hear what we first heard in The Taylors—passionate, tender voices blending into glorious overtones of a heavenly sound. You are going to love The Taylors!" Jonathan Taylor expressed his excitement about The Taylors being welcomed into the StowTown family of artists. “We’ve been so impressed by Ernie always wanting to do his best in everything he’s been called to do. We look forward to seeing how God uses this new relationship to spread our music to unexpected places!"

Introducing Isaiah!

The Taylors are excited to introduce the newest member of the family - Isaiah David Perkins!  Leslie and Aaron celebrated the birth of their first child on Wednesday in Raleigh, NC.  Isaiah weighed 8lbs 4oz and was 20 1/2 inches long.  Doctors told Leslie several years ago that she would not be able to have children of her own, so the arrival of Isaiah is a special answer to prayer!  Isaiah was born with only one functioning kidney, but after several days of tests, doctors feel confident that his other kidney is working well.  Leslie experienced a major seizure last night when she arrived home form the hospital and was rushed to the emergency room.  After a CT scan revealed no damage, she was released to come back home this morning.  The Taylors would like to thank everyone for their prayers over the last few days.  Please continue to pray for the health of Leslie and Isaiah.

Leslie plans to take time off to care for Isaiah for the next few weeks but will return this summer as The Taylors kick off their brand new Measure of Grace Tour.

January News

Hi Friends!

Well our 4-week break is coming to a close.  We spent our time off with our families and enjoyed some much needed rest and relaxation.  During our time off we have added some new dates to our 2014 tour. Please check out our schedule and come join us when we are in your area!

During our break we got a chance to have a gender reveal party for Leslie and Aaron’s baby.  Krispie Kreme has started making crème filled doughnuts with either pink or blue crème.  The night of the party no one knew what the gender of the baby was until Aaron and Leslie bit into their doughnuts.  It’s a boy!  They have decided to name him Isaiah.  We are anxiously awaiting the arrival of little Isaiah Perkins!

Christmas week was a wonderful time for our family.  We all met at our Mom and Dad’s house on December 22nd to celebrate with everyone…the festivities continued through the week with breakfast at Mom and Dad’s on Christmas day and lunch at our grandparents’ house.  We hope you all had a wonderful time with your families in the celebration of Jesus’ birth!

We want to wish you all a very Happy New Year and many blessings in 2014.

November News

Hello friends!  We hope the crisper weather and colorful fall leaves find you happy, well, and enjoying blessings from the Lord.  We have enjoyed seeing many of you in concerts over the past few months.  We are encouraged by your support, letters, calls, and prayers.

We were honored and humbled to receive the award of Favorite New Mixed Group by Singing News fans last month at Dollywood!  It truly is a blessing to know that after seven years on the road, we have made so many wonderful friends across the country!

It’s a busy time of year as we move into the Thanksgiving season.  It’s a favorite time of year for us.  The fall is beautiful in North Carolina, and we have been fortunate to have some time off the road to enjoy it.  We were able to continue the family tradition of spending a day at the Raleigh Farmers’ Market with Mom, Dad, Mimi, and Papa last month.  We filled the back of Dad’s truck with pumpkins, corn stalks, and bright yellow chrysanthemums – enough to decorate all of yards!

Many have asked where everyone lives now that Leslie has moved back to North Carolina, and Suzanne is married.  Suzanne and her Aaron live in Morganton, NC – about 3 hours from Lillington.  Leslie and her Aaron live next door to Jonathan.  Chris and Amanda also live in Lillington.

If you have attended a concert recently, or have been on Facebook, you know we have experienced a huge blessing in our family.  Leslie and Aaron are expecting a baby!  This was a huge answer to prayer for them.  Leslie had been told by doctors that she would not be able to have a child of her own.  That just goes to show that nothing is impossible with God!

We are also excited about our new CD project.  We spent last week in Nashville working on tracks with the very talented Wayne Haun and Gordon Mote!  We believe the songs that we have selected will encourage our listeners and lift up Jesus.  We appreciate your prayers as we return to the studio soon to record vocals.  We pray the Lord’s Spirit will anoint each song and bring glory to Himself.  Our greatest desire is that many will experience a personal relationship with Jesus through our ministry of music.  We also pray that Christians will be encouraged as they are reminded of God’s great love.  You can expect to see the new project in stores around February!

Speaking of February, we are excited that the Singing At Sea cruise is only three months away!  This is our third year of being a part of this wonderful cruise, and it’s always a highlight for us.  Singing At Sea is the largest Gospel cruise and the only cruise that closes down bars and casinos during the voyage.  There are over 25 Gospel Groups participating this year.  The cruise departs from Jacksonville, FL on February 3rd and makes three stops in the beautiful Bahamas before returning on February 8th.  We have friends coming from all over for this premier Southern Gospel cruise.  Texas, Pennsylvania, Canada, and Northern Ireland are just a few of the places that will be represented.  We were just informed that the ship is already 80% full, but there’s still time to reserve your spot!  If you have any questions or would like to request a brochure on this cruise, please call (910) 658-7153.  We hope to see you on the boat!

It’s amazing that Christmas is just around the corner.  We are presenting our annual “Christmas with The Taylors Dinner Concert” at our home church – Fellowship Baptist in Lillington, NC.  The dates are Friday, December 6th and Saturday, December 7th at 6:00 PM.  Cost of tickets are $22 and includes dinner (prepared by Mom!) and concert.  Call 910-528-6522 for more information or to order tickets.  There are only 20 tickets left, so we hope you will ring in the Christmas season with us!

As you spend time with your friends and family during Thanksgiving and Christmas, our prayer is that you will be blessed and encouraged by God.  He has given us so much through His Son – Jesus.  We are grateful to have salvation through Him, abundant life in Him, and a home in Heaven with Him!

“This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 128:24

September News

This time of year is always busy for us, especially as we gear up for the National Quartet Convention. It is the last year for the NQC to be held in Louisville, KY as they will move to Pigeon Forge, TN in 2014. We have a new booth location at the Expo Center, so if you plan to stop by and say hello please see us at booth 565.

The Taylors will be performing Saturday night the 14th on mainstage. If you are not able to attend in person, you can still be involved in all of the fun and excitement! Visit www.nqcvideo.com to subscribe to the live broadcast all week.

We have been doing a lot of flying the last few weeks and will continue to hold a very rigid schedule until the end of the year. However, we have had a few days here and there to be home with our families.  We appreciate all of the prayers that are being lifted on our behalf for safety and health. You will never know what that means to each of us.

I am sure most of you have heard our recent, exciting news from Facebook. However, if you haven’t learned yet, we are once again expecting a new niece or nephew. Leslie Taylor Perkins is expecting her first child with Aaron Perkins. This is a true miracle as doctors have told Leslie for several years now that she would not be able to bear her own children. They are expecting a spring baby. Please lift Leslie and the new baby in your prayers for a healthy, full term pregnancy. By the way, do you want to know how she told us that she was pregnant? She whispered it to us on stage one night as we were singing! Hard to stay composed during that announcement!!

We pray you all have a very wonderful month of September!

 In Christ,

Suzanne Taylor Hise

August News

Well we are mid-way through August and it is already time for our monthly news update!

We just pulled out of the driveway for a 5-week tour. Included in this trip will be the states of Mississippi, Texas, Missouri, Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan, and Kentucky. We are very excited to be on the road again and ready to see a lot of friends on our journey. The National Quartet Convention is right in the middle of this very busy tour and we have already started preparing for one of the largest events of the Southern Gospel Music Industry. We always enjoy getting to be with many of our peers during NQC week and getting to meet new friends as well! If you have never been and have wanted to try it out, you should definitely come….you won’t be sorry, but remember to bring your walking shoes! Visit www.natqc.com for more details.

Please continue to keep us in your prayers as we travel. These coming weeks are going to be busy for us and we want to give God our best in spite of the weariness that traveling can bring. Your prayers never go unnoticed!

May God bless you.

The Taylors,

Suzanne
